8wisdoms is, in essence, a political quiz that attempts to assign percentages for eight different values relating to Avatar: the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. You will be presented by a statement, and then you will answer with your opinion on the statement, from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree, with each answer slightly affecting your scores. At the end of the quiz, your answers will be compared to the maximum possible for each value, thus giving you a percentage and determining which of the four elements most closely matches your views. Answer honestly!
There are questions in the test.
There are four independent axes - Community, Diplomacy, Spirituality, and Society - and each has two opposing values assigned to them. They are:
Community
Those with higher Community scores value the people around them. They believe in both diversity and unity, and support for one another
Individual
Those with higher Individual scores value individuality. They believe in independence and freedom, and that the ability to succeed in life lies within oneself.
Strength
Those with higher Strength scores believe in an aggressive foreign policy, valuing the military, strength, and sovereignty. They are often patriotic or nationalistic.
Peace
Those with higher Peace scores believe in a peaceful foreign policy, emphasizing diplomacy, cooperation, and integration. They are often pluralist or globalist.
Spiritual
Those with higher Spiritual scores believe that a connection to the spiritual world is essential for a full life.
Material
Those with higher Material scores believe that worldly concerns hold more weight than spiritual ones, or that strong spiritual connections aren't needed in the modern age.
Tradition
Those with higher Tradition scores believe in traditional values and strict adherence to a moral code. Though not always, they are usually passionate about preserving their culture.
Change
Those with higher Change scores believe in societal change and innovation. Though not always, they are usually passionate about scientific and technological research that can improve people's lives.
In addition to matching you to an element based on the eight wisdoms, the quiz also attempts to match you to a character who shares similar values to your responses. This is a work in progress and is much less accurate than the elements and axes, so don't take it too seriously.
